Wow! I hadn't realized it had been a month since I last posted. I was going to say that not a lot has happened in the last month but looking back I guess it really has.
First of all Valentines Day! Hubby was a dear and we had a lovely dinner. He got me a HUGE card, ( he got me one last year too) and as I sat reading it I began to recognize the verse inside. I said " honey I think the card last year said the exact same thing as this one."
Ernie was like noooooo it can't .. so I made him check - sure enough- it did! We had a good laugh and a lovely night.
Well we ran into problems with Elise this last month. I knew she had been keeping something from me. I wasn't quite sure what it was. I started praying about it and asking God to show me how to deal with a very moody 17 year old. Well come to find out she had been talking to a boy online and they are "going out" but of course she can't actually date him if he lives in another City supposedly 3 to 5 hours away from here.
He wants to come to our Tulsa and meet her and us, but I'm not sure I want him too. I am also afraid that if we don't at least attempt to get to know this boy that she will rebell and do something stupid. ( I refuse to say what it is I think she could or might do, I don't want satan getting any ideas).
Well the Girls I have been keeping are growing like weeds.. The little one Megan is going to be one the day after Easter and Sarah the 2 year old is a pain in the neck! She is smart but also very manipulative. She is getting away with things at home that I don't allow her to get away with here because I was raised that children are to respect their elders. She is very disrespectful and is starting to try to get her way with FAKE crying. I mean just the sounds and not a single tear.. she just whines!!!!!!!!
I have to pray for the Lord to control my hands to keep from killing her sometimes. (Totally would never hurt a child).
I am also now learning Sign Language. I have some neighbors that are Deaf and I have been praying about helping to find someone who can interpret for them at our church. while I was praying I felt like the Lord was telling me that it is in me to learn and let Belinda(my deaf friend) help me.
She is so willing and she comes over everyday to let me practice my lessons on her and she tells me what I do wrong and shows me how to sign things correctly if I mess up.
It is really great i am really learning fast and I love it!
Well i really need to sleep but I will keep up with my blogging now that I am a little less stressed.
