Titles are really over rated...

So I have been at work since 8 am, and I have been busy as a bee. I am so ready for a small break. This after noon has not been too bad as the phones are a bit more quite and I am able to take some time to myself. I have slipped off my shoes and am checking my email and decided I needed to elaborate on my blog about my new job.

I am working for a small but thriving Janitor service who has been in business for 21 years. I am the new Office manager and have been informed that I am in charge of hiring the new people and to be prepaired to hire several people.

In my first two days here I have hired 5 people and done orientation for 3. I have been working on new hire files for two day strait and today I finally got a break from the non stop phone and the paper work.

I love the fact that I have been busy as I have not had the chance to get bored! I hate being bored at work. So I have got to get off here and get the rest of my work dont will blog you later.

Being a Mom

I hate being sick! I have been sick for about a week. I've have a sever ear infection and have been fighting a nasty cough. I guess I am kind of a weinnie when it comes to getting sick because I hate it so much.

I have not been to the gymn since last Monday ( a week ago) but I am going back today and hopefully i'll get right back where I left off. I don't plan to slack off any longer than I have to. However I have not been doing well with driving much less in good enough shape to work out.

So other than being sick things are looking up. I am looing forward to the coming holiday. Mothers day has never really been to special for me and last year was the first time I was made to feel like I finally fit in to that catagory. You see I've only been a mom for about 2 years and I have always felt that this was a part of life I was missing out on. I love celebrating the fact that I've had TWO wonderful women that have raised me and given me the best chance at life they could. But there was just this underlying feeling that I would never get the privledge of being a mom.
I guess raising a child who never got the significance of Mother's day because she grew up a Jehovah's Witness, doesn't help. And my husband is NOT the planner in our marriage. He doesn't often supprise me because I have learned to expect nothing from him,,, that way I don't get disapointed!
It took him 5 years of an 8 year marriage to figure out that it wouldn't kill him to buy me something on Valentines day!
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my husband, but some men were never taught how the small things are what really counts! He is much better at it now and I am grateful that there are times durring the year when there is no holiday at all that he brings me home something he knows I like. For instance, on his route (he's a milk man) there is a doughnut shop that makes blueberry cinnamon rolls, he brings me 2 when I least expect it! I love them and he knows it so it is always a special treat!

I try to do things for him that I know he likes and this year I am going to make it a point to make Father's Day special for him. Last year she ( DD) made a bigger deal of father's day which was not to big of a deal but they have had a rough year this year and I want to encourage her to do something with her daddy.

Well my internet at home is still down so I'm at the library once again. I guess I should hop off here and do some work.
Please pray for Elise's friend with Cancer... she is receiving chemo and it is making her very Ill. also please pray that Elise will concentrate on her relationship with Chirst! There are some issues we are struggling with and I really need prayer support!
Thanks and God Bless!

Still Traveling the road

So Far so Good! I thank all of you from FFMB for stopping by and giving me a shout! Okay I'm going to make the ultimate confession right here in public.

I did my weigh in at the gymn, I didn't cry because I knew the number would be LARGE! So I think I told you my goal weight is 160 lbs. well let me tell you why... When I looked at the scale it said 349.... :( But I know that I can reach my goal and I am set on reaching it. I have not been to the gymn since Monday tho because I have been fighting a chest cold and it is finally starting to clear up So I'll be back in the gymn tonight!
I"m really looking forward to going. I love the way I feel after a hard workout. I try to work myself as hard as I can and seem to do quite well when I am alone.
I usually take my daughter Elise with me as we both have a membership. She is doing really well and I am quite proud of her.
Well I have got to go and I will keep you posted as I can. My internet is out at home right now so I am using a public computer right now.

As soon as my net is working at home I'll be back with more regular reports!

God Bless and love to all!
