Today I went in to work at the church and started helping Bro. Wally look for pictures of days gone bye. We are looking for pictures of the past so that we can take them to our Association. The Washington-Osage Baptist Association is celebrating 75 years this year and they are planning something big.
We found some really neat historical things for our church so I got a history lesson today. I am a total history buff so I love learning all this. I am going to get to help plan our churches Centenial Celebration in 2011. Well I don't have a lot of time today I brought my grandmother to the library and she will be ready to go soon. She can't sit for very long and I know Ernie will be off work soon too. I still have to go home and get, chicken and some other things yet...
I'll update on the adoption as soon I have more information.
God Bless! keep us in your prayers!

Coming UP!
In exactly one week we will be leaving for Eureka Springs Arkansas! I can't wait! We have never been and I am really excited. We have been planning this for quite some time and are really going to enjoy the trip with several of our friends from church. There about 30 people going and it will be a long trip but we are going to see the Great Passion Play and then Saturday taking some time to explore the town!
I got out the scrapbook we started making for our child last year and I added some new photos and a poem that I wrote.
I am really looking forward to getting our child placed in our home.
Well we are having some company over this weekend so I better get going back to the house and get some dinner started.
God Bless!

Not Just another Monday
Today we had another funeral to go to.A close friend of the family's (Tammy) mother passed away and we (my grandmother and I) drove to Adair, Ok. to attend the service. Tammy is a wonderful woman and bakes the most delicious cakes! She is a gem. We were sad to see her mother pass but we know she is with Jesus and we'll see her again some day when Jesus comes again!
Okay so it is getting closer and closer to October and I have the time to tell you about this adoption process. So far we have filled out all our applications and given references. Our references's will receive a letter from DHS (department of human services) asking themto tell a little about us. We have to go get finger printed for our FBI background check because we have not lived in Oklahoma for 10 years in a row. We have given consent for a criminal background search and they will check to see if either of us are listed as sex offenders or have ever been reported for child abuse or neglect.
Since we have done all of this before I know we are clean and it won't take long for everything to come back.
Then we have to get our physicals to show that we are not dying or have any desies that we can pass on to a child.
We begin our Adoptive parenting classes on October 7th at 10 am and we will attend them each Saturday in Tulsa through November 4th.
We then WAIT!!
THE HARDEST PART OF THE JOURNEY IS THE WAIT!
We are looking forward to growing our family. Holly is ready to be a big sister and I am sooo glad!
I start a part time position as our Church seceretary on Oct. 2nd, I am excited about that too!
I love serving my Jesus and I know that some day He will bless us for our faithfulness. God blesses us all the time though. I mean we have so many loving and caring friends! I really am thankful for each one of you.
Please keep reading we will be glad to share our journey through adoption with you!
God Bless you and Keep you!

We Have Lift Off!
We are up and running with our adoption! I am so excited!
DHS called and we begin our adoptive parenting classes on Oct. 7th ! Please be in prayer for us as we begin the last 3 steps to adoption and growing our family once more!
Our daughter Holly is excited about being a big sister and wants a sister. I would like a boy and a girl but Ernie is not to worried about it. He says we will take the child we feel God leading us to! ( I'm so proud!)
We are looking forward to announcing to our Family and friends that we have been chosen to have a child placed in our home and are looking forward to bringing that child home!
Well I really must go for now.....
I will be documenting our progress here on the blog each week and it will be great fun!
Love to all
