HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I want wish you a very Happy New Year!

I have made some "resolutions" my self but I know this is my year!
You know how every one breaks there so called new year's resolutions about 3 weeks into the year... well I've found a sure fire way to break that cycle.

I know I've posted about her before but for those of you who are busy working mom's and wives it is possible to be 15 minutes away from company every day of the week.

Check out www.flylady.com

This movement is taking the world by storm. I am a proud FLYbaby and I am teaching my husband to FLY as well!

We are currently empty nesters and I am returning to the workforce this year. I am looking foward to going back to work so I can get some things that I want for my house.
I have been working on getting my hous de-cluttered, and put back in order, I am looking forward to remaininh C.H.O.S. FREE!

The house is just a little cluttered today but after I get my hotspots taken care of I'll be okay!

So Here's to a Clutter free New Year!
Love To All!

A Day in Family History....

It is 1am and I am still awake. Not because I'm sad or upset but because today will be our daughters last day at home. She is finally moving out to be almost on her own. She will be going to work for her grandmother and renting a room from her. But she will not be here.

I have mixed emotions about this because things here have been in turmoil for quite sometime. She is determined to not be respectful. She has deliberately tried to show very little respect for us in public. We are not wealthy people but we were raised that teens and children should respect those who are older than they are. She has no repsect for anyone! I mean she can't even say yes ma'ma to my grandmother! When she worked at McDonald's I never heard her say ma'ma or sir and she refuses to use it with us.

She is 19 and has no ambition. She refused to share what her goals for herself were until we told her that we felt she couldn't make it on her own.

I guess I am kind of angry with her for lying about some things this week and even though I caught her in the lie she refuses to assume responsiblity for her actions.

I just pray that God will deal with her and she will find comfort and guidance in Him because she refuses to listen to us.

Well Tomorrow .... actually later today we are going to be taking her to Tulsa to meet with my mother and we are going to see the baby.

I'll post another baby update later!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
GOD BLESS!

More baby updates....

I went to visit Johnathan today! He looks to me like he has grown! I told you yesterday that he is off the oxygen and has gained weight.

Today when I got there the NICU nurse was washing his hair and he was off his IV!! I spent about 30 minutes talking to him and praying for him. I showed him the 2 dollar bill from his uncle Ernie and held his hand.
They turned off his heater on his little incubator.. Oh! I almost forgot they put him in a regular incubator and not on that warming table that made him look like a roasting chicken.

He was all wrapped up in his snuggly warm blue out fit and blanket with an adorable blue hat!

I made it to my mom's store around 3:45 this afternoon and we did some work at the store. I hope I get some computer work tomorrow or I wasted my time coming over here to help. I really need the money as I am going to have to find full time work.
Holly will be moving out soon and I am going to have to work, to help get the bills paid. I don't mind working now that I am getting my eczema taken care of i can walk again. I have had it so bad on my feet that I could not walk.

Well any way I am at mom's house now and I guess I should get off the computer for a while in case some one (not mom) wants to complain...

Take care all.... God Bless and Happy New Year!

Baby Update!

I don't have a picture yet but I did get an update on my little Nephew!
Johnathan gained 3 oz! He is offically breathing un assisted and mommy and daddy got to dress him in his own clothes today!

I am going to try to get back up to the hospital tomorrow if I can. I want to get to spend some time with him too! I am glad they got to be there all day today and loved on that precious little angel.

Keep your prayer coming as the road is still bumpy ahead. We made sure that they have things like a crib, bassinette, and essentials for baby and now they need lots of prayer and love.

I thank all of you who are praying for Styrlin and Cynthia and baby Johnathan.

God Bless and Have a Happy New Year!

Christmas Eve

Today I visited my new baby nephew in the NICU, Johnathan Daniel is so very tiny!
When I walked into his room I cried. I guess I really didn't know what to expect but he was smaller than a loaf of bread. :)
I just looked at him for the longest time. Of course it was hard to take my eyes off of him. I discovered that he really looks alot like his daddy- my little brother- and even has his ears!
We talked about what I remembered from the day Styrlin came home from the hospital. I was like 9 and to me he was a heavy baby!
Styrlin was the biggest of all four of us! I told him I sure hope the little guy inheirrited his metabolism and lankiness! That boy can eat!(my brother that is)

Little Johnathan was held by his mommy and daddy for the first time today and it blessed my soul to get to be there for that! Styrlin took a picture of my hand on John's head and his tiny little head just barely took up the palm of my hand. I have never been near a baby so small.

Before we left we prayed over Johnathan and I am asking all of you my faithful readers and friends, please keep praying for them.

I am going to try to go visit Little John as much as I can and I will pray over each visit and for him each day. He is breathing well and boy can he cry! Of course in the NICU that is something they encourage :)

Looks like it will be a Merry Christmas after all. Johnathan doesnt' have any major medical problems and as soon as he is eating, breathing, and maintaing his own body temp. I'm sure they will let him come home. We are praying for before his due date which is Feb 7th.

Keep us in your prayers!
May God Bless you this Christmas and every day!
Happy New Year too!

WELCOME!

My nephew Jonathan Daniel arrived around 9:10pm tonight! My brother Styrlin and his wife Cynthia welcomed this precious premie into the world a few weeks early but he is going to be fine!
The baby is currently in NICU at St. John's and is expected to be healthy. My mom called me to tell me that I am an aunt again! (7th time)
I love it! I couldn't go to Tulsa tonight as I have my 4 year old nephew Tanner with me this week. He is a handful but I love him! I never thought I could love my sisters kids as much as I do! It is so amazing! I can't wait until we get our kids!

Okay well I've got to get some sleep... long day tomorrow. I hope to get to go see my nephew soon.

God Bless and Merry Christmas!

Preparing for a Road Trip!

When I was a kid mom and I and most of the time my brother and sisters would all load up in the car and just drive. Mom always called it a road trip because that meant we really didn't have a destination in mind we were just driving.

Well Wednesday Holly, Mom and I are taking a road trip with a purpose. We are going to southern Oklahoma to pick up my nephew Tanner for the holiday! I am excited to be going because I don't get to see the little guy very often and I really miss him.

He lives 4 hours south of me and so we will be leaving quite early in the morning so that we can get down there and back . This is a horrible time of the year to be traveling in Oklahoma. we have some idiots here, that for some reason think that if it is a holiday that gives them license to act stupid or forget how to drive.
Ernie worries about me constantly when I'm gone so of course I'll be calling him periodically to let him know we're okay.
We have some issues sometimes when it comes to my nephew... he is 5 and hyper beyond belief! Ernie sometimes looses patients with him and I pray that this will give him a chance to love tanner like i do.
I know that the more time we get to spend with him the better it will be.
I'll be dropping mom off at home and then coming back to B-ville...

This is going to be a good Christmas! Our family will be here all except for my sisters which is okay. I miss Kristina and the girls but have a time with Mary my youngest sister. She is very stubborn and refuses to try to mend our relationship. She has a deep seeded hate for me or something and I don't know how I can fix it. She has been like this for a very long time and she refuses to get any help. She is obviously disturbed in some way but won't seek counseling or anything else.

Well that is enough rambling for one night. I've got a case of insomnia again and I really need to try to make myself sleep.
I've got a lot to do tomorrow.

God Bless and Merry Christmas!

Lot's to do..

Today is going smoothly so far.. I really haven't done much yet but I am about to go and take care of one last gift purchase and then I have to go check on my Grandma.
After that I've got to get home and get my house picked up before Ernie get's home with Sarah and Megan.

I've missed the girls and am quite happy that they are spending the night tonight. I was a bit disapointed that they couldn't stay for church on Sunday but I understand that their mommy wants them home for their last Sunday before the Holiday. Their Church is not having services on Christmas Eve so this is their Christmas program.

Tonight is our Church's Christmas party. I've got to make some kind of finger food to take tonight. and with the girls coming I need to make sure I take something to keep them occupied.
Holly has to work tonight so she won't be there and I know that is a bit disapointing to her but she'll get over it. When I was her age I missed out on everything!
But we always seem to work something out so she doesn't miss much.
Well i've got to get off here and get going.

God Bless and Merry Chirstmas!

SNOW!

15 INCHES OF SNOW! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? THIS IS OKLAHOMA PEOPLE WE DON'T GET THIS KIND OF SNOW !
I know this seem a silly thing to get excited over.... especially to my friends in NH & MN. But you must admit for a place where we call winter 30 degrees and ice.. 15 inches of snow it a big deal!
Well today is the day we go decorate the Chruch for Christmas, They call it the Hanging of the Greens. I don't know how much fun it will be since I will mostly be working on the chruch bulliten and such but anyway.

I hope to find some more pictures of the snow around Northeast Oklahoma to share with you soon.

God Bless and Merry Chirstmas!

The Blizzard of 2006

Ladies and Gentelmen, I give you a moment in history:

November 30, 2006 will live on in the weather history books as the first official Blizzard in the state of Oklahoma!
There you have it folks parts of Northeast Oklahoma covered in approxamatley 3 inches of ice under 15-18 inches of snow.
Here in Bartlesville we have loads of white fluffy stuff. My dog Lilly absolutley loves it!
She loves to bite it and run and jump an play.

The down side to all of this is that Ernie couldn't come home today. I miss him terribly and am going to have the house all shiney and clean when he gets home tomorrow. I am also going to have a nice hot roast waiting for him when he gets here. No sandwiches for my man tomorrow- or should I say today.. .it is after 1am after all.

well my benedryl is finally kicking in so I am going to try to get some sleep.
Take care bloggerville and let me know how the weather in your area is!
God Bless,
~G~
