Building Relationships With Other Couples

I just finished my blog post for my business. (I have a Travel/Food blog) I have been working on my continuing education for my Travel Agency and trying to homeschool as well as balance the daily chores of being a stay at home mom.

It's not easy! I often feel overwhelmed and I don't sleep much but I love my life. We are still taking time do adjust to hubby working night shift.. then of course we have to bounce back to day's after Thanksgiving! Such is life!

Over the weekend we attended our churches Fall Festival. It was so much fun! We really did have a good time!  I helped make cotton candy which I enjoyed and Niki really let her inner social butter-fly out!

As a family we try to do things together that allows each of us to interact with other people. We use the social interaction to build relationships.  Since this particular activity was at our home church we were able to build on our relationships within our congregation. :) That always makes me happy.

You see we have been marred 19 years this month and we have few couple friends. We have always tried to connect with other couples. We struggle to find couples who have similar likes and things we can bond over. We do have 2 couples we are very close with, one local and one

horrible blogger

I have been a horrible blogger!  I have allowed life to get in the way of thing I really wanted to do.

Back in August I became a Certified Travel Agent! I LOVE it! However, it seems to have taken over my life. I seem to eat sleep and dream travel.

Even homeschool has taken a back seat to building my travel business. I am working very part time at at a local radio station which I do love and I want to be doing that a little more  but home school is so much more important that I need to find balance between travel business and homeshcool .

So Starting today we are getting back to time management and doing school work and house work during the day and working on travel in the evening. It has to be this way or I will have no balance.

My husband is feeling like he needs to be working toward being a pastor and that means I as his helpmeet need to be working toward being a pastors wife. I need to focus on being a better home maker and I need to work toward loving people unconditionally. I know God will give me what I need to serve Him and give Him the glory.

I am so very proud of him and I want to show him how much I love and support him!

So today my prayer is that God will give us grace and mercy and show us the path we need to take to be in His will.

Thank you for taking the time to read. I would love your feedback!

Living my life for Jesus

I am so excited that my hubby and I Are both now officially ordained ministers! We are working to follow God's call on our lives! I am actually working on a bible study. I am praying about this and ask God to annoint me to spread his word!

I have always felt called into ministry and since I was a child wanted to be a pastor/minister like my grandfather. I have always been told I couldn't be because I am a woman! I kept praying and praying and now I know that I can and will fulfill God's call on my life!

I KNOW God has a plan for us and I'm excited to find out what it is!

Stepping Out In Faith!

Recently my husband and I have been praying about a ministry position that has been brought to our attention. We will be able to live at the lake year round and it will take a lot of hard work but I believe we can do this!

I am really excited to get a chance to serve God in any capacity He will allow us to. I always felt called to be a missionary and I never followed God like I should have. Maybe this will be that chance I've always needed to serve Him in a greater capacity.

I pray this will be a life changing opportunity for our family and give my darling husband the chance to serve God he needs and deserves. My husband has always wanted to serve in a more hands on way and I am praying God will guide us and give us this chance to be apart of the Resort Ministry!

We will still be able to homeschool and we will be able to work out there full time as chaplains.

We covet your prayers fellow believers!

Praying For Our Churches

Sometimes when we are striving to be obedient and living according to what we know is right, that is when satan attacks us the most.

Recently my family has been working hard to serve our Lord and do His work; however satan has been hitting us from all sides. He has dealt financial blows, emotional struggles, and physical illness.

Our church has even come under attack from the enemy! We've got him attacking families in our church left and right, causing dissention and strife. We are going to have to pray against him hard and heavy if we want to win this battle.

The Word says in Romans 8:38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow--not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love.

We will have to stand against the wiles of the devil, like it says in Ephesians 6:10-17

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, 15and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; 16in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Something I have learned over the years about church is that there are always going to be people in every church that will try to destroy it. Satan uses people to stir up trouble, they spread gossip and they make things hard for others.

I want to teach my Sunday School Class how to pray! I want to guide these amazing little people into a passion for Christ that never fades! As part of my ministry  I pray that they will all Learn that God's gift of Salvation is something relevant and meaningful in their lives and that they will be Soul winners for Christ!

I want to challenge you to pray for your church. Pray for the Body of Christ in general that we will all be emboldened to share the word of God with others in such a way that we are saying God Is NOT Dead, he is surely alive!!

May God Bless you and keep you!

HOLY COW!!!!

IT IS SNOWING IN OKLAHOMA!

I left work this evening and it was raining with some snow flurries. I went to my grandparents to help them learn how to use their laptop. When I got ready to leave there and go up to the church for a bit it was just snow. and it is still just snow!

Ernie is going to wake up to a surprise! I haven't seen snow in April in a very long time!
WE have had snow in March but I honestly cannot remember the last time we had snow in April.

We have been preparing for our Youth Group's First annual Summer Kick Off Luau!
It is very exciting and we have just a little more than a month to get it planned. We are going to have a couple of bands and we are hoping to have some fun and games for the event as well. I have been trying to find door prizes that they would enjoy. I am going to see if I can get some CD's or something like that.

I don't have to work for the next few days and I am praying that I will be able to find a couple of families that need a good sitter. I really don't want to have to go back to work full time.
Well I need to go for now ....
God bless and take care !

Acquire The Fire!!!! 2

Well this weekend went GREAT!

As I last posted we took the youth from our church and some others to Acquire the Fire
in Tulsa this weekend. The message was the best I have heard in years. This generation of youth is the largest in our country's history. They have the best and most technology and they spend the most money. They are also in the most danger!

Parents beware! Your children are being targeted by the media for slaughter!!! 2,000 teens a day commit suicide! 8,000 a day contract an STD! This is appualing!

God was all over that Maybee Center..The amazing thing was that These kids have been being deceived all theire lives by the media and they are finally learning the truth. They are getting a righteous anger and standing up for GOD!! Praise Jesus that we are gettint to be a part of it.

If you have never heard to the work that is being done by Acquire the Fire you should really check it out. As Christian parents we have a responsibility to protect our children and you need to know that the 'worldly' media is targeting your children and they don't care that they are creating a generation that has no moral sense of what is right or wrong. they don't care that these kids are so desensitized that they don't want to live!

WE MUST UNITE AND FIGHT FOR THE LIVES OF OUR CHILDREN!!!!!

PRAY FOR THE TEEN MANIA MINITRY

PLEASE PRAY FOR ERNIE AND I AS WE BEGIN OUR NEW PATH WORKING WITH THE YOUTH GROUP IN OUR CHURCH . PRAY FOR GOD'S GUIDANCE AS WE HELP THEM GROW AND AS WE ADOPT OUR CHILDREN.

LOVE TO ALL AND GOD BLESS!

Over the Weekend...

Work is going swimmingly and things at home are good. We got to go back to Church yesterday. We hadn't had church in 2 weeks due to an iced over parkinglot. We had our quarterly Birthday Bash pot-luck dinner yesterday and it went well. Ernie and I spent the afternoon getting our house back in order, we had kind of let it over the past two weeks. Both of us had been sick and then with me starting work and trying to recover from being sick... well we were just tired!

I made sure I got some Vitamin C and some AirBorne (a cold prevention type thing).
I can't afford to be getting sick right now I need to work so I'll do everything I can to stay healthy.

Well I've got a ton of things to do today before I go to work so I'll be posting later!
Take care & God Bless!

SNOW!

15 INCHES OF SNOW! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? THIS IS OKLAHOMA PEOPLE WE DON'T GET THIS KIND OF SNOW !
I know this seem a silly thing to get excited over.... especially to my friends in NH & MN. But you must admit for a place where we call winter 30 degrees and ice.. 15 inches of snow it a big deal!
Well today is the day we go decorate the Chruch for Christmas, They call it the Hanging of the Greens. I don't know how much fun it will be since I will mostly be working on the chruch bulliten and such but anyway.

I hope to find some more pictures of the snow around Northeast Oklahoma to share with you soon.

God Bless and Merry Chirstmas!

Eureka Springs!

I was Totally excited to leave on Friday morning! We drove to Locust Grove, Ok. First to visit my mother and step father Larry. We had a great visit and mom gave me an early birthday gift.
Okay I collect pigs and this is a pig dressed like a chef holding a sign that says "Chef's Special".
I really like it because it goes with the decorative plates Ernie got me for an anniversary gift.

So we leave mom's and get on the road to Eureka Springs. We stoped at Natural Srpings State park for lunch and enjoyed the weather and sunshine.
Finally we arrived in Eureka Springs Arkansas after what seemed like and eternity in the Ozark Mountains! The little Lodge that we stayed at was only about a mile and a half from the Great Passion Play and we had dinner at Forset Mountain Restaraunt. --Bye the way if you ever go there the dinner buffet is 9.50 and very limited. No one in our group really liked it.
Then it was on to the Passion Play! The weather was perfect but the seats were narrow. I really enjoyed it though.
I watched The Passion of Christ film that Mel Gibson put out but this was much more compelling. It was in a language that I speak and it was played out right before my very eyes!

We really had a great time!
Today I started my first day of work as our Church's Secretary. I am really going to enjoy it. I know it will be slow paced for a while but God will bless our church and it will start to grow. We are looking at hiring a Youth/Music Minister and having another person to do things for will pick up my pace.
Well Tomorrow is my 8th Anniversary. It is hard to believe that Ernie and I have been married this long. I mean it seems to have flown by so quickly! God really blessed me with a keeper when he put us together. I pray that my children will listen to God's direction concering their mates. I know it is sometimes a struggle for us as Christians but I know that Gods will is perfect.
I have been praying for our new addition. I know we don't know his/her name yet but I pray just the same.
Holly seems excited to be getting a sibling. I know she misses being a big sister and she will be great at it.

Well I don't have much time and I need to get some things done tonight.
Take care, God Bless and please keep us in your prayers!

The Impending Holiday...

I have been missing Sarah and Megan for the last month. I was so used to seeing them everyday that it has been really hard coming back to work. So Ernie and I decided we'd call and ask if the girls could come spend the weekend with us and Ernie is picking them up tomorrow when he and their mom get off work!

I am so excited! Saturday we have loads of things to do... that morning we will either go swimming or go to the Kiddie Park. Saturday night is a cook out and fireworks! The girls will love it!

I am so excited about getting to spend time with them this weekend.

So back to my title.... Independence Day..

It makes me realize that with out those men and women who died for our INDEPENDENCE we would not be celebrating it at all.

For those of you who, holler about the war, be thankful that we had people willing to fight and die because with out them we would not have ANY of the RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS we have today!

Okay enough with my soap box because it could rant on forever. May God Bless you all and I pray you have a SAFE and happy Independence Day!

We Did IT!!

We got moved in to our new home over the weekend. Sunday was our last day at our church! :(
It was rather sad but exciting as we know that God is going to do great things at the new place.
I have not had a chance to spend much time at home but am looking forward to getting some things unpacked tonight and this weekend.

My mom came to visit on Monday and stayed until this morning. We had a great visit and she introduced me to my soon to be step father. Larry is a good man and seems to take good care of my mom. I hope they make each other happy and that my littlest sister will let mom live her own life.

Ernie will be 31 on Sunday and we are going to join our new church that day as well. We have been praying that God will guide us in helping grow a young families ministry.

I have alot of things yet to do so I better get off here. I'll post again soon!
Love to all and God Bless!
