horrible blogger

I have been a horrible blogger!  I have allowed life to get in the way of thing I really wanted to do.

Back in August I became a Certified Travel Agent! I LOVE it! However, it seems to have taken over my life. I seem to eat sleep and dream travel.

Even homeschool has taken a back seat to building my travel business. I am working very part time at at a local radio station which I do love and I want to be doing that a little more  but home school is so much more important that I need to find balance between travel business and homeshcool .

So Starting today we are getting back to time management and doing school work and house work during the day and working on travel in the evening. It has to be this way or I will have no balance.

My husband is feeling like he needs to be working toward being a pastor and that means I as his helpmeet need to be working toward being a pastors wife. I need to focus on being a better home maker and I need to work toward loving people unconditionally. I know God will give me what I need to serve Him and give Him the glory.

I am so very proud of him and I want to show him how much I love and support him!

So today my prayer is that God will give us grace and mercy and show us the path we need to take to be in His will.

Thank you for taking the time to read. I would love your feedback!

Living my life for Jesus

I am so excited that my hubby and I Are both now officially ordained ministers! We are working to follow God's call on our lives! I am actually working on a bible study. I am praying about this and ask God to annoint me to spread his word!

I have always felt called into ministry and since I was a child wanted to be a pastor/minister like my grandfather. I have always been told I couldn't be because I am a woman! I kept praying and praying and now I know that I can and will fulfill God's call on my life!

I KNOW God has a plan for us and I'm excited to find out what it is!

We May Be Heading in a New Direction!

We applied to be the Directors and Chaplains for the Lake Texoma Baptist Resort Ministry!
We are super excited to be getting the opportunity just to apply and interview for the position.

We have been praying that God would show us favor and allow us to have this position as we feel we could really bless others and serve in a whole new capacity! We are hoping to be blessed as well with this wonderful opportunity!

We will be notified sometime next week of the boards decision on who they will place at The Helm.

Another awesome chance has presented itself, Young Living Essential Oils!!! I received my started kit yesterday! I am so excited to be changing our family's health through using EO's!

I have already noticed a marked difference! So there will be a lot of thing happening with both of theses tings!

Today is our Homeschool Associations First Annual Easter Egg Hunt!
Niki and I are looking forward to that!

Well I've got a ton to do/
catch ya on the flip side!

Stepping Out In Faith!

Recently my husband and I have been praying about a ministry position that has been brought to our attention. We will be able to live at the lake year round and it will take a lot of hard work but I believe we can do this!

I am really excited to get a chance to serve God in any capacity He will allow us to. I always felt called to be a missionary and I never followed God like I should have. Maybe this will be that chance I've always needed to serve Him in a greater capacity.

I pray this will be a life changing opportunity for our family and give my darling husband the chance to serve God he needs and deserves. My husband has always wanted to serve in a more hands on way and I am praying God will guide us and give us this chance to be apart of the Resort Ministry!

We will still be able to homeschool and we will be able to work out there full time as chaplains.

We covet your prayers fellow believers!

Happy New Year!

2014 is gone and 2015 has begun. As I look back a lot of changes happened in 2014. We moved from Tulsa, Ok. (in Northeastern OK) to Durant, Ok (in Southeastern,OK). I grew up just 20 some miles from here and lived here about 20 years ago. Things have changed and there are new things here that were not when I was growing up but it is still small town USA. I had really enjoyed the anonymity of the city. Not everyone knew someone in my family. I have a LOT of family in this area and Hubby has some in North Texas.
However Moving here has created less stress in my home. My husband is home to spend time with our daughter and he is less stressed so that makes life easier for sure.

We are looking into buying a home and trading in our van for a newer car. (would be such a blessing!!!) We are praying God will bless us with both of these this year!

I pray many blessings on each and every family that reads our blog. I have not been blogging as much as I would like and I hope that will get to change this year and as we get settled into a home of our own.

Blessings and love to you all,

Living In the New House....

We have been in the new house for almost a month now and are finally getting things put in order! Yes it has taken me almost an entire month to get things unpacked and put in order! LOL We just got the dryer and hot water heater fixed yesterday and I'm so happy that I can wash, dry and put away the laundry and not have to hang clothes on the line outside.

The biggest problem now is getting to where I feel better. I've been getting migraines and It doesn't help that if for sure!

Well I've got school work to get finished and a headache to get rid of so I'm off for the day!

Top 5 Things I Admire Most About My Husband....

First let me say that I'm working on learning how to build up my spouse. I feel that this will make for a better marriage and a healthier one at that.
5. He is a hard worker who strives to provide for his family.

4. He takes the time to read to our daughter.

3. He is thoughtful and tries to help if I need it.

2. He is loving and kind.

1. He takes his family to church and prays over us.

Temporary Home

Today we moved into our transition home. This means that we have moved out of the townhouse that was being neglected by the property managers and into an extended stay hotel for a month or two. This place is actually pretty nice. They have an option that allows people to move their own belongings into the large suites and pay a monthly rate and they get to have a housekeeper come in once a week or twice a month...I can't remember! LOL

My mom and step dad are actually just a few doors down from us and my sister and nephew are one floor up in the next building. So it's almost like we all live together but we have our own space and don't have to be in each other's hair. NikiRhe can visit her grandma almost anytime she wants and we are going to be able to use this time as a huge learning experience.

I have been lax in putting us on a schedule since she was born. I wanted us to just be on our body's natural time clocks and that doesn't always work! hee hee... So now we have plans to start getting up at 8am...getting dressed, walking the dogs, having breakfast, making our beds, doing the breakfast dishes, having a spanish lesson, NikiRhe taking a nap and mommy doing school work, lunch, Imaginative play time, then start supper and tidy up before daddy gets home. Family dinner, do the dishes, then settle in with daddy for some family time.

That's the gist of it anyway. I am praying that God will help me achieve this as we have a small space and this will almost force me to be more organized! I see this as a blessing!

Well it's 3:30 in the morning and I'm finally sleepy! So I'm going to go snuggle up to the hubby and get some sleep so we can get up in a little while to go finish moving our things!

Be Blessed!

Fifteen Months and Counting....

Our little one turned 15 months on the 4th and it is so hard to believe that it has been that long. She is such a bundle of energy and fun. Well most days anyway. I'll admit that being a first time mom at 32 came as something of a shock to me and my "well baby educated" system. I've been taking care of other peoples children all my life.

I helped my mom raise my siblings, I was a nanny, I was a foster mom and the change was dramatic!
I learned that I could survive on much less sleep than I ever had before. I also learned that I fell in love like never before the moment the nurse place this beautiful little thing in my arms.  I remember sitting there next to my sister who looked like she was freezing, telling her that I would forever be greatfull for the gift she was giving us. The nurse told me to stand up and I could see my baby being  born and I got to see as she was pulled from her warm cozy environment and thrust into a bright, cold world. I kissed my sisters head and was whisked away to the other side of the room where they wrapped her up and I got to hold her for the very first time right there in the OR.

I have been with her every day since then with the exception of one when I had to be out of town. I Love my daughter and God has shown me that she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I would not change a moment of emotional upheaval, sleeplessness, cuddling, kisses, shared smiles, or hearing her beautiful little voice.

I am so very blessed to have been able to be at home with her since the moment she was born. I may not be very organized, or have a perfectly clean home but I have a happy, healthy family. God is blessing us and we are striving every day to teach our little one of the Love of Christ!

Be Blessed!
