Open Your Heart, Open Your Home to a Child

I am really anxious about getting to go to the information meeting for the Foster/Adoptive program! I am ready to start the entire process! I don't know how long it will take but I am trying to remind myself not to get too impatient because it took awhile in Oklahoma.

I need to find some families here in Texas that we can talk to about Fostering. I will be adding more Foster/Adoption resources and information to our blog again. I love sharing our experience as we go through this process.

And So It Begins...l

Welcome to the era of Obama! It is very exciting to be alive in this amazing time to be getting to see the first African American President. I pray that President Obama will help foster change in our country for the better!

Now that we have been in Texas for over a year I have started getting information about adopting here. We are going to do the Foster/Adopt option so that we will be able to have a toddler. I am so ready to grow our family! I miss being a mommy on a daily basis. I mean I know I'll always be a mother but I miss having someone at home to care for every day.

Well It's 2009!

Here we are 13 days into the new year and I am STILL a slacker! LOL
Right after getting back to work last week I was put on a new project along with 9 other people and we have been training for that.

I am feeling much better and once I am able to sleep again I'll be all the happier for it.
For those of you that have been keeping track I had a very trying 2007. 2008 was better since moving to San Antonio and working on my marriage. 2009 is going to be Brilliant! I can't wait to see what comes to fruition this year.

I have friends coming from Australia to live here in SA. and we have been making plans for that. Ernie and I have been making plans for our vacation time this year and are hoping to get to see all our family. I miss my Grandmother and my mom. I have not gotten to see them since I left Oklahoma in 2007.
We are praying that Holly will get to come home soon for a visit. I miss my daughter as well! I was so used to her being at home that it is still an adjustment to be an empty nester at 31!

Maybe we will go ahead and adopt again... I would love to do that!

Well it is almost time for me to go to work so i'll stop rambling now.
I will blog more soon!
