Over the Weekend...

Work is going swimmingly and things at home are good. We got to go back to Church yesterday. We hadn't had church in 2 weeks due to an iced over parkinglot. We had our quarterly Birthday Bash pot-luck dinner yesterday and it went well. Ernie and I spent the afternoon getting our house back in order, we had kind of let it over the past two weeks. Both of us had been sick and then with me starting work and trying to recover from being sick... well we were just tired!

I made sure I got some Vitamin C and some AirBorne (a cold prevention type thing).
I can't afford to be getting sick right now I need to work so I'll do everything I can to stay healthy.

Well I've got a ton of things to do today before I go to work so I'll be posting later!
Take care & God Bless!

Work Is Going Good....

I'm still loving my new job! It is going well. I'm catching on so well and making some friends.
Last night after work, Ernie and I went out with our pastor and his wife and my grandparents and some others from church. I haven't seen my church family in two weeks so I really enjoyed the time with them.

I talked to my sister -in-law this morning and that is always a good thing. I'm still in the process of getting ready for work but I'll get there eventually.

Ernie is going to go help our pastor move this morning and then come home and piddle around here at the house.
We are praying that his sister will move here to Oklahoma and it would be awesome!

Well I've got to go so
God Bless You!

Johnathan and My New Job...

My brother and sister-in-law got to bring Johnathan Daniel home yesterday! He is doing well and weighs around 5lbs.4oz. Our part of the state is still covered in ice and we got a dusting of snow last night.

I starte my new job yesterday. It is going to be a lot of fun... I think I made the right decission accepting their job offer. I was very tired yesterday evening but with all the free coffee I could drink I made it through.

One of the guys in my training class looks like my ex-husband which is kind of scarry... I'm not the oldest person in the class but I'm the second oldest! It's kind of funny though Angie (the oldest one) and I get along great! She doesn't live very far from me and I think we will become great friends. One of the younger girls - there are only for girls-is quite young and getting married in March... She seems really sweet and seems to like me and so she talks to me quite a bit.. Mostly because I listen to her.

Now my job is not difficult. It is providing qualily customer care to Earthlink customers.
I am familiar with Earthlink and I love customer service. I'm a people person so it will be easy for me to do this job.
well I've got to start getting ready for work... I need to leave here in a couple of hours and I still have to shower.
God Bless!

Winter White....

It has been several years since we have had this much ICE! The sleet keeps falling, not snow, sleet!

I was hoping we could at least have a bit of snow but at this point nada. The good thing about it though is that here in Bartlesville it has been nothing but sleet. You see at first I couldn't figure out what the difference in sleet and freezing rain was.. then it hit me. Sleet if frozen when it falls therefore it doesn't stick to the power lines and trees as easily as rain that falls then freezes. My mom doesn't have power at her house and has had to travel into town -she lives in the country-to stay in a motel. They are stranded in town now becasue they got hit with another round of the icy stuff.
My brother and his wife went to Tulsa Friday to spend the day with the baby in NICU and got iced in and had to get a room there. They are still there and stuck until at least Monday.

Ernie and I were able to get out yesterday for the day.. We went to Wal-Mart and then to my Grandparents and spent the day helping them remodel the bathroom. Today all the churches canceled services and we have just been hanging out here at home! I'm loving it. In fact I think I'm going to go make some coco and snuggle up with my hubby!

Well God Bless! Keep warm and remember to tell those you love that you love them!

Here comes the ice again....

We are getting ready for yet another "winter storm" here in Northeast Oklahoma. This time I don't think we will be getting much snow. We are looking at an ICE storm! Which means NO driving and staying at home all weekend. Which means I have to take my sick self to Wal-Mart and shop tonight if I don't want to be stuck there all day tomorrow. I have a doctors appointment in the morning and I have to get some important things taken care of before the storm hits. I also want to make sure we have some snacks and pleanty of coffee and coco to get us thru the weekend. I figure if we are going to be stranded at home just the two of us we should make the most of it and spend some quality time -not in front of the tv-together.

I am going to find soemthing he really likes to eat and bake it and make myslef feel better if it kills me. I have a terrible head cold and have not felt like being nice much less cooking. So I guess I better suck it up!

Well I'll always be able to blog when I get bored! I love the internet! When he is watching wrestling like i know he will i can come in my office and dink around here!

Okay well I hope if you are here in the soon to be "ice land" of the great state of Oklahoma keep warm! If you are anywhere there is winter weather God Bless you!

I Think I've Started the Nesting Phase...

When we first started this adoption process I was doing loads of research about the physical and physological changes adoptive parents -especially women-go through. I've tried to track my progresson through out the process and I do believe with the case worker calling on Monday that I have enter the nesting phase.
When a pregnant woman enters the 3rd trimester of her pregnancy she begins preparing for the baby to come home. She may do this by getting a nursery decorated, cleaning the house top to bottom and baby proofing her home. Well I've started all of that tonight!

I found my self lying in bed at 3am unable to sleep. I decided then and there that I was going to have to stop procrastinating and get this house in order! I guess I was in a state of denial or disbelief because it was taking so long and I had not done much to prepare for the home study.

So when she called it took the rest of the evening to settle in... I've not felt good today because I've got a cold and I wanted to sleep. So when Ernie went to bed at 4pm I did too.. I slept until about 7pm when I was rudely awakened by a telemarketer.
I got up and ran a couple of errands and came home to rest and read a good book.
I went to bed at 11:45 with my book and finished the book at 2:00am.
Since I was still awake at 3 i got up...
I got online at FLYlady and printed her steps for crisis cleaning. Then I put on my shoes washed and moisturized my face and went to work... It is now 5:30 am and My kitchen & bathroom are spotless and my livingroom liveable... now all that is left is the office and master bedroom along with the laundry which will have to be taken care of a little at a time.

If it were not for fly lady I would be in trouble! If you have not heard of her or need help getting organized 15 minutes at a time follow the links I have to her and check her out!

So I am going to work on the other areas later today and work on the laundry as well...

God Bless have a good day!

Large Families

I was reading an article about how the "large" family is "back." The truth is it never really went away. America just started recognizing it again and mostly as 'weird' women who have too many children.

I for one am a proponent of Large families! I have always wanted to have 5 or 6 children! gasp! I know, a shocker huh? I have stated before that even though I was not meant to give birth I still feel the strong desire to be a mother and I honestly want to have several children.

My sister has 4 and she is happy as a clam... I don't expect children to make me happy I just love kid and would love to have a load of my own. :)

We are going to take our time and allow our children adjust to the idea of adopting more children before we just go out and do it though. I mean after all if we get 2 or 3 this time I obviously won't want to adopt 3 more. I'd like to have 2 girls and 2 boys. That would be ideal for me.

So I read alot and have some great sites you should check out... Look in the links section and do some reading:)

Well I'm off to bed.... I have Church in the morning...
God Bless

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I trust your New Years is starting off with a bang! Mine is! :) I will be starting my new job soon and I think I will love it! I am getting my house rearrainged after the teenager moved out. I am creating a new office for myself and a new guest bedroom for our guests. It is starting to look good already! I can't wait to get it finished. I've decided to hang some nice picutres in that room and possibly put up a shelf or something. I will be putting Ernie's clothes in the Chest and closet as we have conflicting schedules and he needs a place to get dressed that won't wake me up.

I love the idea of having a real guest bedroom and I know that at some point it will be a kids room again I still for a while will have guest quarters. Now if we move into the house we are wanting I will have 2 kids room's a dressing room and a guest room. I love that Idea!

Anyway, I've got a ton of things left to do today so I better get busy. Ernie will be home soon.

Take care and God Bless!
