Thanksgiving

Well this year I spent Thanksgiving alone. It was not as bad as I first thought it might be. I was a little pissed off at first because my sister went to Oklahoma and left me down here alone. But it really wasn't to big of a deal.

I'm really looking forward to Christmas/ Yule.
I will have my family here and I will be able to cook and decorate and be festive.

Today is 10 weeks into the pregnancy and Amy broke her foot today. Things just seem to be getting really crazy for her.

Edit: Amy miscarried on Friday Nov 23 :( we are saddened by the loss of our baby but will move on.

Turning 30.......

I turned thirty yesterday. .I spent the day alone and at home. I did receive lost of well wishes and birthday wishes via phone and myspace. I have been thinking about this whole turning 30 thing and I have decided that there really isn't anything to be upset about.

I am beginning a whole new chapter in my life... I'm officially a "Thirty Something" I used to love that show when it was on the air. A group of sexy people all in their 30's living their lives and loving it!
I have so much to look forward to so why be depressed about turning 30?

WOOO HOOO! I'm 30!!!!

Bad Day

Today Has Turned out to be a horrible day so far.
Amy is having a miscarriage. We are loosing our baby. :(( I am so very sad! I wish I could be there with her but I can't and I hate it.

I have to start work this afternoon and I'm not looking forward to it anymore. I was kind of excited about going to work.

Amy is still moving here with me and I hope she will put a stop to James and all his bullshit.
I am so sad for her. We had so many plans for our baby.

Please keep her in your prayers.

8 Day's And Counting!

It is so hard to believe that in 8 day's I will be 30! I'll be all by myself here in San Antonio and I have to work on my 30th birthday but oh well.

Ernie left to go back to Oklahoma this morning about 5 am. I have been hanging out here at the apartment just putting things away and getting the house nice and tidy. With it just being me and the dogs it won't be all that difficult to keep my place clean.

Loving My New Home.

Well yesterday Ernie and I rented our new apartment. It is very nice and I think I am going to love living here. Of course like any new place it does have a couple of drawbacks. It is on the 3rd floor, but at least there is an elevator to use. The mailboxes in this part of the complex suck!

When you walk in the front door you see the stairs that go upstairs to the loft, which has 1 bedroom and full bathroom.
If you turn left from the front door you are in the large open space that houses the living area/ dinning area and kitchen. We even have a fireplace!!!!
I can't wait until I get to use my fireplace. Of course that may not be until Feburary.

I will get to turn 30 in my new home and unfortunatly it will not get to be the 30th birthday I had envisioned. I have to be at work at 4pm on my birthday.

At least I'll be working to help pay for my lovely new home! I am just glad it will be what we want and need it to be.
There is pleanty of room for Me, Ernie and Amy and Little Bean when he/she is born.

OKa well i'm going to close for now. I will post more later.

Week 8.....

Cartilage and bones begin to form - At the end of this week your baby will have already completed 1/5th of the journey 'til his birthday!

The basic structure of the eye is well underway - The position is more "newborn" like already! The tongue begins to develop
Intestines move out of the umbilical cord into the abdomen.

Body grows and makes room - Two months along and this little one is growing inside and out by leaps and bounds!
The fingers and toes have appeared but are webbed and short
Baby's length (crown to rump) is 0.61 inch (1.6cm) and weight is 0.04 ounce (1gm)
We are excited about our Little Bean.

I Get To See My Hubby Tonight!!

I am finally getting excited to see Ernie. We haven't seen each other in over a month.
I really needed this time in San Antonio to myself. We are working things out and that is always a good thing.
We have been married for 9 years and we must do all we can to fix our marriage.
I mean our problems were not as serious as I think I may have made them out to be. I know that other people have much more severe issues then what we were facing.

However we are communicating more now than ever and He is currently Driving down here with my Lilly ( my black Lab/Dalmatian mix). Jack and I will be happy to see them both.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

It's that time of year again when all the ghosts and goblins apear. The time when the fall is beginning to be celebrated!
Today is the day when people all over the world take the opportunity to become someone else.
This is the one day a year that people can dress up and not be considered screwed up in the head.

People take their children Trick or Treating, and some (like me) thake their dogs. It is a time to have fun and a time to remember the dead.
In many other cultures that is what Halloween was all about. Tomorrow is All Saints Day, thus today has been called for many years All Hallow's Eve. Now i'm going going to give a lesson on the history of Halloween but I think over the years it has gotten a bad rap. The "church" has made it all about satan and evil and it was never meant to be that way.

I think that we should just leave tradition alone! That is what is wrong with people today. No sense of tradition.
People don't take the time anymore to establish traditions with in their own homes and family's .

It is good for our children to have traditions and even to start new traditions with our children in mind or to allow us to start them with our children. It gives them a sense of belonging and family. It helps to bond the family unit. And if you begin the tradition before the kids are born or when they are very small then you have given them a sense of something greater.

Families today are failing to bring responsibe adults into this world. We are failling our children! They are killing each other and their parents! If we could just teach the next generation about values...the value of human life and the value of family, our country would be a much better place to live.

WOW I was really on my soap box there.

Okay well this has been quite a rant, so for now I'll close... keep checking back on baby progress! We are so excited about our Little Bean!

Week 7...........

Week Seven
Elbows form - Again, taking a peek inside you could see your baby's fascination with bending and flexing. Later you will swear you can enlist your child as the star of the next "Karate Kid" movie!

Fingers start to develop - These digits often become your baby's first toy!
Feet start to appear with tiny notches for the toes - It is fascinating that at less than a half inch, your little guy (or gal) already is leaving "footprints" on your heart!

Ears eyes and nose start to appear - Although they may resemble an alien life form, these all "shift" soon enough into a more normal appearance.

Intestines start to form in the umbilical cord - Did you know that initially the intestines are not formed inside your baby's body?

Teeth begin to develop under the gums - Thankfully, right now you won't be dealing with teething pain!
Our baby is growing!!! I'm soo excited! I can't wait to hold our Little Bean in my arms. but i have to wait until June.

A Rant........

I can't stand users! There are so many people in this world who are only out there to get what they can for themsleves. If there is nothing in it for them they are not interested. Life would be so much better for us all if these so called people would just drop dead.

It is amazing how a "person" can allow themselves to be used by such a type as this. These are sub human idiots who have no respect for human life and care only for themselves. They want all your time, money and energy and give nothing in return.

Line them all up and shoot them in the mother fucking head! They deserve sub human treatment due to the shear fact that they cannot treat others with respect.
I am tired of people who call at 2am just to wake you up and bullshit.
I know that sometime there are emergencies in which it is necessary to call someone in the middle of the night. But to call a phone that does not belong to the person you are trying to reach and waking others up just to talk to someone about nothing is uncalled for.

Last night these such events took place here. I wanted to kill this person for calling 6 times between 1 and 2 am. What a bunch of bull shit!

Week 6.....

We are coming into week six! This is what our Little Bean should be looking like at this stage!
We are so very exctied as now the baby can hear our voices and the music we play for him/her.
As I stated previously Amy and I have been friends since we were about 7 and are extremely close to one another. I believe I've been having some sympathy symptoms for her. ( kinda odd).
I've been getting her morning sickness for the last few days. :) I don't mind really. I love the fact that we are doing this together.
Ernie and I have been arguing over weather or not Little Bean will be a boy or a girl. We are keeping the names we have chosen a secret until later.
As far as being in San Antonio goes I do love it and am looking forward to the rest of my little family joining me in December.
Ernie is coming down the first week of November to help me secure an apartment for the 3 of us. Then when Little Bean is born if we feel the need to move to a bigger place we will.
We probably won't need to until after the baby is about 9months or so. But we may go ahead and get a 3bed room just incase.
We have decided to to the Nursery in CareBears! Amy and I love CareBears and the things of the 80's so we are going retro with our nursery!
Well I guess that is all for today...

You've Got Another Thing Comin.....

I was sitting here thinking of all the Shit I have put up with over the years.

I have decided that if people think I am going to sit back and take all the crap they better think again.
I am tired of being told that they way I think is wrong and that the fact that I Love the way I do is not right. I don't want to be told that I can not be sad if I want to or I can't be overly excited when I feel that way.
I am tired of being told that liking to have a drink or a smoke is going to send me to hell. I am tired of the hipocrites that attend churches today.

I just have no desire for "organized religion". The funny thing is, that I used to scoff at people who said that. Go figure.

I used to be a leader and then I became a follower and if you think I'm going to continue being a sheep You've Got Another Thing Coming!

I am no longer going to keep my opinions to myself. I am not going to be this docile person afraid of hurting someones feelings. I no longer want to be the person who just sits back and lets her family run her life.

I am a thousand miles from home and loving it. I love the freedom I have to not have to get premission to come and go as I please. I don't have to answer to anyone and I can be me.

I have made the nessecary changes within me to be complete. Now as long as I can be with the one I love i'll be happy for all time.

Yesterday my Grandparents saw their 50th Wedding anniversary. I honestly can not imagine being married for that long. I mean there used to be but at this moment in my life there is not no possible way.
My family is trying to convince me to move back to Oklahoma and, there is no way that is happening. They have to realize that I have to start living my own life and not according to what they want.

I am tired of living for everyone else. I am almost 30 freaking years old and for the last 10 years i've lived according to how my Grandparents and my husband have expected me to live...

Well.............

NO MORE:

BEING THE GOOD CHILD
ALWAYS DOING THE RIGHT THING
BEING NICE
QUIETLY ACCEPTING DEFEAT IN A FIGHT
BEING PASSIVE
HIDING THE REAL ME BY LYING ABOUT WHO I AM
HIDING MY REAL FEELINGS
KEEPING MY OPINIONS TO MYSELF
ALLOWING OTHER PEOPLE DICTATE HOW I THINK

I have allowed all of these things to happen in my daily life for 10 long years and I have lost sight of who I am deep down inside.

WHO I AM:

I AM A DARK PERSON
I LIKE SEX
I AM VERY SENSUAL AND EROTIC
I LIKE TO SMOKE
I LIKE TO DRINK
I PREFER THE NIGHT TO THE DAY
I LOVE ALL THINGS VAMPIRIC
I LOVE HEAVY METAL MUSIC
I AM GOTHIC DEEP DOWN INSIDE
I BELIEVE IN FATE
I BELIEVE WE CREATE OUR OWN HISTORY
I BELIEVE IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
I BELIEVE IN SOUL MATES
I BELIEVE IT IS POSSIBLE TO LOVE SOMEONE AND NOT BE IN LOVE WITH THEM
I BELIEVE IT IS POSSIBLE TO LOVE TWO MEN AT THE SAME TIME
I BELIEVE THAT BEING IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE CAN EITHER MAKE US A BETTER PERSON OR ROCK US TO THE CORE WITH DISTRUCTION
I BELIEVE THAT TRUTH IS JUST A POINT OF VIEW
I KNOW THAT IF SOMEONE YOU LOVE LEAVES YOU AND YOU LOOK HARD ENOUGH YOU CAN FIND THEM AND MAKE THINGS RIGHT.
I WANT CHILDREN
I WANT TO LIVE IN TEXAS AND NOT OKLAHOMA
I WANT TO BE LOVED SO MUCH THAT THE MAN I LOVE WILL NEVER BETRAY ME FOR ANY REASON MUCH LESS SELFISH REASONS.
I LIKE TO BE IN CONTROL
I LIKE POWER
I LIKE TO FEEL POWERFUL
I HAVE ALWAYS HAD AN INTEREST IN WICCA BUT NEVER TRIED TO LIVE BY THE WAYS.
I BELIEVE IN GOD
I BELIEVE THAT I WILL BE PUNISHED FOR THE DECISIONS I'VE MADE BUT THAT THEY ARE MINE TO MAKE AND SO BE THE PUNISHMENT.
I LOVE MY PETS
I LOVE MY COMPUTER~
I DO LOVE MY FAMILY I JUST NEED A BREAK

I came to San Antonio to figure out what i want from life and how I can make life work for me.
I am slowly becoming to realise that all it takes is me standing up for myself.

My First Week

I have been in San Antonio for a week now and I like it pretty well.

Jack and I made the 13 hours trip with a car full and only 8.. that's right 8 stops.
Let me tell you if you ever have to travel with a Dog make sure they can hold their bladder longer than Jack can!
He peed in my car! I had to roll down the windows and it was sooooo hot!

we stopped in Durant to visit Amy my best friend and then after a 4 hour visit we hit the road once more bound for San Antonio!

I really haven't done much, mostly hang out around my sisters apartment.
We (Jack and I) make lots of trips up and down the stairs as he goes outside a lot.
And I have applied for jobs and will be starting my new one on Wednesday.

So I will play online until then and make up for some lost time.

until later

8 Day's And Counting!

So it is finally here. In 8 days i leave for San Antonio!! I can't wait. I am really excited about going and hope beyond hope that things are going to go smoothly.

I have found an apartment and with the new job i won't have any trouble affording it.
My best friend is going to come down in May to live with me and that will be great!
We both need the time together. It has been many years since we have gotten to spend any time together. She and I have known each other since we were 7 & 8.

Life long friends who have gone through lifes challenges together. Marriages, births, a divorce, and loosing a parent. We have been through it together. Now that we are 29 & 30...(i'll be 30 in November), we are setting out to change our lives once again.

We are going to loose weight together, and start the second half of our lives at top preformance. We are going to get to know ourselves and eachother again.
I tell you this is one adventure I am really looking forward to!

I will most certainly keep blogging however!

Well As you can see the .....

The title has changed once again.... My life is Changing and I feel it is for the best. The look of things here will be changing as well over the next few weeks.

I feel like I have allowed a part of my soul to sink and fade away and now I am bringing it back.

You see my true nature is quite dark, and sensual. I love heavy metal music and am quite Gothic in a sense. I love black and all it stands for. I don't care for cheerful people and i hate people who are always happy.

for the most part I am a happy person but i am also dark and moody.

So feel free to stick around to meet the real me or don't it is up to you!

Settling in. ...

We are getting settled in at the new house in Skiatook.
It is not a bad little place to live. We have a great Mexican restaraunt, and a ton of burger places...

The town in itself is a nice place to live. I've been working out at Curves for Women and I love it.
I'll be 30 in November and am working on a personal goal.

As soon as I get some pictures of the house i'll post them for all to see.
I am looking forward to entertaining in my new home! I love to entertain and I have not done any in the last year.

I think that this move was certainly for the best. Well i've got some errands to take care of so i'll post again later!

We are officially in the new house in Skiatook. We are still unpacking and it may take me the better part of the month to finish as I have been sick. I am working on getting some business done and getting my internet back on at home. We've had to switch companies and it is taking a couple of weeks to suceed. Well I've not got a lot of time today but I wanted to give you an update on how things are going.

Just keep me in your prayers so I can get to feeling better!

The Move Has Begun!

So this weekend we started moving our houehold items to Skiatook. We are not able to actually move into our new house yet, so we decided to rent a storage building there in town.
We have 95% of our things in storage. The only things left in the house now are mostly personal items and some framed art and the spare bed room has not been touched.

Ernie decided that since we are going to have to wait until next weekend to move in that we will just sleep in our spare bedroom and wait it out.I am driving to and from Tulsa again this week and then for the next two weeks I will just be in Skiatook unpacking the new place and getting things set up the way I want them.

Okay well I going to have to remove my contacts today as they are giving me a headache.
I'll post again later!

LUCKY 13 Promotions

I have always tried to stay involved in music in some aspect. Weither by preforming, listening, producing, or promoting, I love the music business. That is why I went to college for broadcasting and that is why now I am the Owner of Lucky 13 Promotions!

I do have a wonderful Creative Consultant in Kansas and we communicate constantly. I have 2 great clients and I am working hard to get them noticed.

They are very talented Young men who form the band Entertaining Angels.
EA is a Christian Rock band who is dedicated to getting the Word out. They are young yet extremely professional.

The music business has always been my passion and I believe that this was the major reason we decided not to adopt at this time. I really wanted to pursue my career and allow Ernie to do the same.

I ask you as my friends to keep praying for us as we venture into a whole new chapter in our lives.

Always,

Time Of My Life

I've been having the time of my life the past 48 hours! I have found a dear friend that means the world to me.
we have shared memories from our past and caught up on our lives and it has been wonderful!

We had both forgotten how muh we are alike and how much fun we used to have being friends.
I was telling Ernie some of the crazy things we did as kids.

It is so nice to be able to rekindle old friendships. Some times a women we tend to forget how important friendships out side of our marriages really are.I know that I had forgotten and was starting to feel stifled.

It really is great to be sharing that with my spouse, and sharing my every day life with my friend.

As You Can See...

The title has changed... We have offically decided to stop the adoption process.
We have several things in our lives that are leading us to this decission and we are confident that this is the right path to take.

I have been busy working here at home and helping my Grandmother with things she need taken care of. My primary concern at this moment is tomorrow.

Tomorrow is Founder's Day in Locust Grove,(the town we lived in when we were first married).
We are going there to be vendors. I am going to sell the Disciple's Cross Necklaces that I make and help my mom draw in business to her computer store.

I'm even going to take a couple of movies and our laptops so we can let people see the up close and personal!

Well it is rather late and I have to get up at 5am to leave by 6am to be in Locust Grove at 8am.

God Bless and If you are in Oklahoma and in the vacinity of Locust Grove stop by and enjoy the day with us we will be at Stable Rock Computers on Main Street!

More on Second Thoughts.

I have been talking to some very close friends and I believe it is time for a new title for this blog.

I would love some Ideas on it. I have not decided what it should be yet but Ernie and I have decided that we are not going to adopt after all. We have so many things we would like to do that would be difficult to do with school age children.

I don't know yet. I just know that we are going to take our time to make this decission. I know I have kind of rambled about it but I just seem to need to talk it through.

I took my grandmother to run errands today and I have been working on my house.
I'm not feeling very good today so i'm going to spend most of the evening in my recliner watching tv.

well God Bless!

Having Second Thoughts....

I am so totally having second thoughts about this whole thing. To be completely honest I'm not really sure I can handle going through this whole process again. I mean with Elise we got her at 16 and had so many struggles. The lies, manipulation, and total emotional roller coaster! I just don't think I can take it again. After all our entire life will change. I just don't know what to do. I don't know what I want anymore. My husband agreed to Adoption because he wants to make me happy. He likes it just being us. I like it this way too but part of me just always wanted to have a house full of kids but I really don't think I can handle it.

I know this is the rantings of a mad woman and I am just feeling stress right now but I honestly don't think we should go through with the adoption process any longer.

I really need prayer.. We have a huge decission to make and we need to make it soon, as we are about to have to move and if we do I want to find a place that is cheaper which will mean smaller. I also have to find a place that will allow my dog and at least one of my cats.

Well any way I guess I just need to pray and sleep on it.

My Long Weekend.....

Okay this weekend we had Sarah and Megan. I went and picked them up on Thursday and visited with thier mom and played with thier new baby brother before we came back to B-ville.
For those of you who don't know Sarah (4) and Megan(3) are the little girls I started babysitting in 2004 and stoped just before we moved to B-ville last year. We loved having them at our home everyday and miss them so thier mom and I made araingments to have the girls come visit us one weekend every month or so.

Well any way we stayed busy all weekend and went to the movies then helped some friends of ours move into thier new home. The girls played and helped and did really well. Megan loves being Ernie's shaddow! She has been his little buddy since she was about 7 months old. Sarah on the other hand said on Saturday that she should have stayed home with her mommy and baby brother.

She is always the one to get homesick. Megan is used to being around us more than Sarah and has never really been super attached to her mom. She does really good with me.

Well I took them to our half way point on the highway yesterday after noon and decided to call one of my old friends. She is pregnant with Triplets and her mom was there to pick up her 2 year old. I wound up talking to her mom for 45 minutes while I was driving to and dropping off the girls and then for a little while on the drive home. My friend Penny was resting on mandantory bed rest so I talked to her mother. I really enjoyed catching up. It has been many years since we all have contacted eachother! I loved getting to talk to her.

After church I called Penny back and we talked for about an hour we have picked up right were we left off as teenagers. It is amazing! I love having her back in my life we were such good friends when we were younger. we spent all of our time together!

She is supposed to have her babies on May 31st. and if I can swing it I'm going to New Mexico to be there.
Well I better get off here and try to get some house work done. My hubby will be home later wanting me to cook him some dinner. I have to go out with my Grandmother tonight and I am going to help her clean out her pantry before we go with the other wome in our church to dinner with the Pastors wife.

God Bless Have a Blessed day!

Time For Tough Love

We gave our daughter a cell phone for christmas in 2005. She did really well with it and did not abuse the priviledge as long as she lived at home. Well for a while after she moved she didn't have it because mine got messed up and I was using it. Well I got a new one and we gave her back to her in Feb.
Since then she has totally abused this priviledge by over using it and not paying her portion of the bill as agreed when it was given to her. So I had it disconnected and we went and took the phone from her this weekend. There was apparently some issue ... because she thought that we did not want her or love her anymore because we had kind of pushed her out of the nest. She is almost 20 years old and she was refusing to do anything with herself. We just wanted her to start taking responsibility for her own actions and to serve God like she commited to.

She has stopped going to church and is talking about living with some guy when she graduates.
I pray that she will not do that. I hope she will stay close to home and learn that God really needs to be the man in her life right now. She is looking for love in all the wrong ways and places.

I know that I cannot tell her how to live her life any more but all I can do is pray for her. I really hope God will hear my prayers and bring her back to serving him as she is a different person because she has truned her back on God.

Please pray for her she needs your prayers. I do know that I will not allow her to rip my heart out any longer and I told her just that. I have got to be strong for the child(ren) that God places in our home.
We are looking for another house and right now have not come up with anything. Please pray that God will allow us to find a home that will accomidate our family as it grows, that will allow my Dogs and my cats and that is in our budget.

Thanks and God Bless!

Our home study has been approved!
My CW called me this afternoon and informed me that our homestudy has been approved. She asked me to write a short Profile on the two of us and So I am going to create it as soon as I can .
She wants me to include a casual picture of the two of us but I'm not sure I've got one. I'll have to find something from one of our family reunions, or something like that.

Funny thing... the ONLY casual picture I have of us is two years old and our updated picture is one year old in May we should really take pictures more often.

So anyway,,, that is the adoption update!

now on to another subject. ... FLY Lady... I have been on again off again flying with the FLY Lady. I mean I love using her system I am just having trouble training myself to do the routines so that I can be more organized because Lord knows I need more organization.

Anyway I am going to start tomorrow by not procrastinating and getting things done 15 minutes at a time. I know my husband will apperciate the fact that he will get to come home to a clean house and maybe it will motivate him to pick up after himself.

well I've got to get off here and try to get some sleep ....
God Bless and I'll post again soon.

Being Found

I couldn't sleep last night and I decided to check my email. well I found that I had a message on myspace and I didn't recognize the name. So I went on and checked it out.
Come to find out it was one of my old friends from my hometown. She and I were very close when we were young and her little brother and my sister Kristina were best bud's.

I was so happy to hear from her! I could not believe that it was her. She is of course doing great and to my suprise expecting Triplets!!! I am so excited! I can't wait to get re aquainted with her.

She told me that her dad passed away last month and it is very hard on her mom and brothers. I would like you to pray for them. Her name is Penny and her mom is Juli.

Well I have some more FLYing to do so I am going to get off here. I'll post again soon!

Mall Trips and Road Trips

So I went to the mall today and picked up some more bamboo for my collection. I love bamboo. it is easy to care for and it requires little light and maintenance. I don't normally shop at the mall because I am what you would call a non shopper. I don't like to just go walk around the mall and see if I can find something to buy. I only go to shops in the mall when I know exactly what I want. For instance, today I wanted bamboo and body splash from Bath and BodyWorks. I got what I wanted... visited with my friend Natalie and we sat in the food court and at ate a pretzel and waited for her mother to meet us.

Then Debbie , Natalie's mom and I took Natalie back to OSU Okmulgee which is almost 2 hours away. We stopped in Owasso first and picked up something and then ate dinner. We finished our drive with Natalie and I joking all the way and laughing our heads off! it was so very fun and we had such a great time with each other.

I will be glad when she gets to graduate and come back to b-ville so we can spend time together. It is nice to have someone who even though she is 5 years younger than me she is such a kindred spirit. We love the same things and we get along so very well.

Natalie, Ernie and I have a great time when we all get together because we are so laid back and love to just sit and talk and cut up. Ernie and she are like brother and sister so it is fun to just sit and listen to them banter back and forth.

Well here it is after midnight and I really should go to bed. I have a few things to get done tomorrow before Ernie gets home.
God Bless and good night.

HOLY COW!!!!

IT IS SNOWING IN OKLAHOMA!

I left work this evening and it was raining with some snow flurries. I went to my grandparents to help them learn how to use their laptop. When I got ready to leave there and go up to the church for a bit it was just snow. and it is still just snow!

Ernie is going to wake up to a surprise! I haven't seen snow in April in a very long time!
WE have had snow in March but I honestly cannot remember the last time we had snow in April.

We have been preparing for our Youth Group's First annual Summer Kick Off Luau!
It is very exciting and we have just a little more than a month to get it planned. We are going to have a couple of bands and we are hoping to have some fun and games for the event as well. I have been trying to find door prizes that they would enjoy. I am going to see if I can get some CD's or something like that.

I don't have to work for the next few days and I am praying that I will be able to find a couple of families that need a good sitter. I really don't want to have to go back to work full time.
Well I need to go for now ....
God bless and take care !

Concert Tomorrow

Well tomorrow night we are going to Tulsa to the Maybee Center to see the Gaither Homecoming Tour. We don't like them as much as my Grandparents but they bought the tickets and we get to get out of the house for free!

OY! I have been working on letting go of some mixed emotions about Elise. She is living with my mother and going to Graduate in May. I am proud of her but she is showing very little interest in us as her family. She tells me that she loves me but has only called me one time and is going to have to realize that I am moving on.

I will always love her but I can no longer allow her to play games with me.

I have a good relationship with my mother and I don't want to have to be mean to her but I don't feel close to her and part of me never does want that again because she betrayed me.
I guess that is what Betrayal does to a person.

well it is getting late and i have to get up early and take my grandmother to the salon.
God Bless! ~G~

Learning Where You Came From Can Be Fun....

Today, me, my Grandmother and my Aunt LaDonna went to Durant, Oklahoma to visit our cousins on my Grandmothers side. The cousin we visited is our family historian and we had a great time learning all the things we didn't know before about our family like my Grandmother's Grandmother is a cousin to Cole Younger of the Younger Gang. We knew we were related but were unsure of exactly how. I am still trying to find the common link but I know that I will eventually find it!

There are twists and turns to the story and it is very cool to find out that our family history is quite sordid as well as torid. Full of love affairs, outlaws and prostitutes.

My Grandma and I joked about writing a book all about our soap opera family story.
Some day when I get the chance to put it all together I'll publish it online. it wil make good reading.

well i've had a very long day and I have to get up early.. so off I go to bed now.

God Bless !

Call me The Nanny.....

I interviewed for a nanny position today! I pray that they decide to have me on because I think it will be a perfect position for me. I will be able to make Ernie dinner on the two nights a week he he work early. I'll be able to run the few little errands I need to run and I'll be able to take my grandmother to the doctor if and when she needs to go.

The girls are 4 and 16mos. and they have a big brother who is 10. I'll be there from about 7:45am to somewhere between 2-5... The father is a plumber by trade and sometimes is able to be off work around 2pm. I would not have to loose any money on those days as they have agreed on a flat fee. Which I am very agreeable with.

well any way I did start making my cross necklaces and it will take me a few more tries to get it down pat but they are coming along. Today Ernie and I ran across another Certified Producer for Disciples Cross at Wal-Mart. She said her's are selling quite well! That put a spring in my step ast I have been praying that God allowing me to make the right decissions.

Well it is getting really late and I honestly need to get to bed and get some sleep. I am going to work on getting back on track with my FLYLady tomorrow as I have really slacked off.
I know I can do anything for 15min. at a time!

God Bless you ...!!! Please keep praying for us as we work with the youth group and as we Wait for the phone call on a match!

Please check out the links for Disciples Cross I have posted here on my blog.. it will help me earn for my friends and family to visit them via my links.

I am waiting for a call from my grandfathers boss at the Hospice. She is looking for a Nanny and I am hoping she calls, I would love to take care of kids again. I'm praying that God will open her heart to be open to lettting me to take care of her kids at my house that is my goal as I would really rather be at home so I can cook dinner for Ernie.

I'll just keep praying about and rely on my Jesus to work it all out!

well it is getting late so I better go... I'll post again soon!

Not Your Everyday......

Okay so today I woke up with the intention of going to take my Grandmother and Aunt to Wal-Mart. Ernie and I did our bible study, showered and dressed and made our way over. When we got there Grandma and Aunt Ruby were both feeling under the weather. So she gives me a check and a list and asks us to go for her.
Of course we did and while we were waiting for her film to get developed in the one hour photo we decided to get the 6 items she wanted and get some lunch at mcdonalds.
As I am standing there ordering I begin to feel naucious. I thought maybe it was just becasue I hadn't eaten yet or something.
Well I ate and still didn't feel better. we picked up the pictures, paid and went to Grandma's where I proceeded to loose my lunch more than once. (sorry pretty graphic).
Any way I called in to work sick and we came home where I've been trying to copy a dvd my aunt had made for my grandfather's 70th birthday... to no avail.... I still have no Idea how i''m going to manage this one.

Well we had to kick out my little cat today... he boldly peed on my gym bag today even though the cat box was clean. Ernie decided he was going to have to live outside from now on. Which I have decided is not a bad idea because I discovered he had marked his territory in the middle bedroom! So now I've got to find a way to get rid of the smell before we move so we will be able to hold on to our deposit.

Our landlady is going to help us get into a bigger house so we are thankful for that and I am going to start working on a new "job" from home. I have been checking out my options as we are going to need my income and I really feel like being at home so I can care for my grandmother, children, and spouse is the most important thing.

We could probably survive on one income but we would certainly have to give up alot of things I really don't want to give up.... like my internet and our laptops to which I have grown quite fond of!

Anyway I will begin my new venture while I am still employeed with Sitel and as soon as God sees fit I will give my notice so I can focus on my family and Church. The youth group really needs a lot of focus at this time and I work from home I'll be able to focus on it a whole lot more than if I'm trying to fight with a job that really doesn't want me to focus on anything but the job.

Well It is almost 2am and I need to get some sleep so I can clean my house in the morning... I've neglected it way too long and with having the schedule i've got right now this is my only chance to get anything done.

Keep us in your prayers as we take on the Youth Group and as we get closer to finding our children!
God Bless You!

Acquire The Fire!!!! 2

Well this weekend went GREAT!

As I last posted we took the youth from our church and some others to Acquire the Fire
in Tulsa this weekend. The message was the best I have heard in years. This generation of youth is the largest in our country's history. They have the best and most technology and they spend the most money. They are also in the most danger!

Parents beware! Your children are being targeted by the media for slaughter!!! 2,000 teens a day commit suicide! 8,000 a day contract an STD! This is appualing!

God was all over that Maybee Center..The amazing thing was that These kids have been being deceived all theire lives by the media and they are finally learning the truth. They are getting a righteous anger and standing up for GOD!! Praise Jesus that we are gettint to be a part of it.

If you have never heard to the work that is being done by Acquire the Fire you should really check it out. As Christian parents we have a responsibility to protect our children and you need to know that the 'worldly' media is targeting your children and they don't care that they are creating a generation that has no moral sense of what is right or wrong. they don't care that these kids are so desensitized that they don't want to live!

WE MUST UNITE AND FIGHT FOR THE LIVES OF OUR CHILDREN!!!!!

PRAY FOR THE TEEN MANIA MINITRY

PLEASE PRAY FOR ERNIE AND I AS WE BEGIN OUR NEW PATH WORKING WITH THE YOUTH GROUP IN OUR CHURCH . PRAY FOR GOD'S GUIDANCE AS WE HELP THEM GROW AND AS WE ADOPT OUR CHILDREN.

LOVE TO ALL AND GOD BLESS!

Yellow Roses

Here's to T-bone steaks, yellow roses and friendship.

READ THIS!!!! and then reread it. Especially the last part

I walked into the grocery store not particularly interested in buying groceries. I wasn't hungry. The pain of losing my husband of 7 years was still too raw. And this grocery store held so many sweet memories.
He often came with me and almost every time he'd pretend to go off and look for something special. I knew what he was up to. I'd always spot him walking down the aisle with the three yellow roses in his hands. He knew I loved yellow roses. With a heart filled with grief, I only wanted to buy my few items and leave, but even grocery shopping was different since he had passed on.

Shopping for one took time, a little more thought than it had for two. Standing by the meat, I searched for the perfect small steak and remembered how he had loved his steak.
Suddenly a woman came beside me. She was blonde, slim and lovely in a soft green pantsuit. I watched as she picked up a large package of T-bones, dropped them in her basket.. Hesitated, and then put them back. She turned to go and once again reached for the pack of steaks. She saw me watching her and she smiled. "My husband loves T-bones, but honestly, at these prices, I don't know."I swallowed the emotion down my throat and met her pale blue eyes."My husband passed away eight days ago," I told her. Glancing at the package in her hands, I fought to control the tremble in my voice. "Buy him the steaks. And cherish every moment you have together." She shook her head and I saw the emotion in her eyes as she placed the package in her basket and wheeled away.

I turned and pushed my cart across the length of the store to the dairy products. There I stood, trying to decide which size milk I should buy. A Quart, I finally decided and moved on to the ice cream. If nothing else, I could always fix myself an ice cream cone. I placed the ice cream in my cart and looked down the aisle toward the front.

I saw first the green suit, then recognized the pretty lady coming towards me. In her arms she carried a package. On her face was the brightest smile I had ever seen. I would swear a soft halo encircled her blonde hair as she kept walking toward me, her eyes holding mine. As she came c loser, I saw what she held and tears began misting in my eyes.
"These are for you," she said and placed three beautiful long stemmed yellow roses in my arms. "When you go through the line, they will know these are paid for." She leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on my cheek, then smiled again. I wanted to tell her what she'd done, what the roses meant, but still unable to speak, I watched as she walked away as tears clouded my vision.

I looked down at the beautiful roses nestled in the green tissue wrapping and found it almost unreal. How did she know? Suddenly the answer seemed so clear.
I wasn't alone.
Oh, you haven't forgotten me, have you?
I whispered, with tears in my eyes.
He was still with me, and she was his angel.

Every day be thankful for what you have and who you are.

(Please read all of this, it is really nice)This is a simple request. If you appreciate life, send this to your friends, including the person that sent it to you.
Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when the alarm rings. Thank you, Lord, that I can hear. There are many who are deaf.
Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long as possible. Thank you, Lord, that I can see. Many are blind.
Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising. Thank you, Lord, that I have the strength to rise. There are many who are bedridden.
Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost, toast is burned, tempers are short, and my children are so loud. Thank you, Lord, for my family. There are many who are lonely.
Even though our breakfast table never looks like the picture in magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced.Thank you, Lord, f or the food we have. There are many who are hungry.
Even though the routine of my job often is monotonous. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to work. There are many who have no job.
Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my circumstances were not so modest. Thank you, Lord, for life.

Pass this on to the friends you know. It might help a bit to make this world a better place to live, right? A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift. A friend is someone to treasure. For friendship is a gift. A friend is someone who fills our lives with Beauty, Joy and Grace and makes the world we live in a better and happier place.YOU ARE MY FRIEND!God bless you and yours. Now send this to every friend you have and don't forget me

I sit in tear as I pasted this in tonight. God is amazaing is He not?

Home sick today....

Saturday went well. We got our new laptops and Ernie is enjoying his very much. I use the computer much more than he does but I think now that he's got a laptop he will be on it quite a bit more.

I woke up Sunday morning sick with fever and vomiting as well as a couple of other things. Sarah and I slept off and on until about noon. We didn't go to church because not only was I sick but she was too. Megan slept until 10.

I took the girls home yesterday and then i came home and passed out in my recliner. Ernie woke me up about 4:30 and asked me if I wanted to come lay down with him so I did. I slept until about 1:15 and then after he left I slept until about 5:20 then I had to get out of the bed... I came to the living room and slept in my chair until about 8:30 when Ernie called me. I'm still sick and I can't hold much down but i'm finally awake. for some reason i couldn't get woke up this morning. i am still sitting in my chair i am just slowly munching on crackers hoping my stomach can evnetually hold something. i will probably have to go to the emergency room to get something to take to work showing that i am really sick and not just skipping out.

well any way i need to close my eyes now i'm really getting dizzy.

pray for me!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA!

Today I had a fairly good day at work. I did well on the job and I am working on getting better at it.
Today 21st is my grandpa's 70th birthday! We are celebrating Saturday at our church with a big party and inviting all his friends and family! It will be quite fun.

Our home studay is almost done. All that is left is us getting our dog & cats rabies shots, our physicalls, getting some paperwork together and we are good to go. I have to make copies of our DL's and SSC's but that won't take much.

well that's was a quick update.....gotta go to bed!

CHAOS!

So I go to work today and I talked Ernie on my break like always. I noticed that he had called but was unable to take the time to check my messages. Then about 5 minutes later one of our managers comes to me and says 'as soon as you get off that call you need to call your husband, he called and said there was an emergency'. I was kind of worried so as soon as i finished what i was doing i went to the break room and called him.

Our neighbors had driven through our yard (for the hundredth time) and busted our water meter!
He couldn't find our Property managers phone number so I had to tell him where to find it.
Well about one hour later on my lunch break I called to check on things and the police, our property managers and the plumbers were all here.

It was crazy. The neighbors admitted to driving through our yard and the property manager said she was pressing charges. You see here in Bartlesville aparently there is some sort of ordinance about not parking in your yard. you are not supposed to park on grass at all anywhere in the city!

I am still working on investigating that one. I have not yet found it but I am determined to find out why I can't park in my OWN yard! that is just CRAZY!

Well before wednesday gets here i have to get some paper work copied and get my dog and cats their shots or at least get an appointment. I am going to see about taking them to somewhere cheap... i've got several phone calls to make in the morning.

I am still trying to help plan my grandfathers 70th birthday party which is Saturday and i work all week...

I also have to call my property manager about a bigger house she offered my husband today.

well i better get off here and try to get a few things done before bed.

God Bless and Good night

Laptop

I have decided to buy Ernie a Laptop for his birthday. We have a friend who let us one for a couple of weeks so we could decide weither or not we really wanted to spend the money on one.
We just picked it up today and already Ernie has decided that he really needs one. I am using it currently and I am really starting like it.

I am having a hard time adjusting to the key board but it is not bad at all. Infact I'm think i'm starting to rather like it a lot. It is not real big and my hands are small so the key board fits it rather well. We are going to take it to my grandparents so they can try it out because they are looking to get a computer. I want to give them the chance to see if a laptop is the way to go or if we need to get them a compact desk top.

The second part of the home study interview went well and we have a couple of things we need to get but it is going smoothly. She is coming back on Wednesday and we are trying to stay on top of things so we don't have to rush around to keep things clean.

Well i'm going to go hang out with my hubby for a while....
Take care!

Interview #1....

Last Wednesday we had our first Home-Study interview. It went very well and I was quite relieved. I was supposed to meet with her again to do my individual interview yesterday but not only was I sick but she had a sick child at home, so I guess that worked out.

I came home from work yesterday and went to bed. I am feeling much better this morning and my husband is planning something for valentines day that I was informed to expect the unexpected. hmmmm. A statement like that could really make a girl think!

Ernie has never really done much for me when it comes to valentine's day. A card was all I really got. last year I got a little porcelin bear holding a rose and a giant card. A very sweet and thoughtful gift.

He is not a real romantic man but he has something planned for me this year and is not telling me so I like that.
He asked if I would make sure the dinning room table is de-cluttered... so i'm thinking he's going to cook me dinner. That would be a treat because he is a great cook and NEVER cooks for me!

Well anyway I have got to get ready for work I have a lot to catch up on today, since I came home early.

Take care and God Bless!

Long Week...

As you can see by the title it has been a long week for me. I know that it is only Tuesday but none the less it has already been a long one. This week is my last week of "class room" training at work and we go out on the floor of the call center as of 4:30 tomorrow afternoon! yippy!

Also, first thing in the morning we have our first half of our HOME STUDY interview! We are both excited and anxious! I am ready to get it done and over with so we can get matched to our children and get on with our lives. I am ready to have kids here. I am ready to be a mom.

I know we have Holly but sometimes it feels like I was just more of a guide to her than a mom. I guess because she came to us at 16.

well I have several things yet to do so i better get off of the pc.

God Bless! keep us in your prayers!

Over the Weekend...

Work is going swimmingly and things at home are good. We got to go back to Church yesterday. We hadn't had church in 2 weeks due to an iced over parkinglot. We had our quarterly Birthday Bash pot-luck dinner yesterday and it went well. Ernie and I spent the afternoon getting our house back in order, we had kind of let it over the past two weeks. Both of us had been sick and then with me starting work and trying to recover from being sick... well we were just tired!

I made sure I got some Vitamin C and some AirBorne (a cold prevention type thing).
I can't afford to be getting sick right now I need to work so I'll do everything I can to stay healthy.

Well I've got a ton of things to do today before I go to work so I'll be posting later!
Take care & God Bless!

Work Is Going Good....

I'm still loving my new job! It is going well. I'm catching on so well and making some friends.
Last night after work, Ernie and I went out with our pastor and his wife and my grandparents and some others from church. I haven't seen my church family in two weeks so I really enjoyed the time with them.

I talked to my sister -in-law this morning and that is always a good thing. I'm still in the process of getting ready for work but I'll get there eventually.

Ernie is going to go help our pastor move this morning and then come home and piddle around here at the house.
We are praying that his sister will move here to Oklahoma and it would be awesome!

Well I've got to go so
God Bless You!

Johnathan and My New Job...

My brother and sister-in-law got to bring Johnathan Daniel home yesterday! He is doing well and weighs around 5lbs.4oz. Our part of the state is still covered in ice and we got a dusting of snow last night.

I starte my new job yesterday. It is going to be a lot of fun... I think I made the right decission accepting their job offer. I was very tired yesterday evening but with all the free coffee I could drink I made it through.

One of the guys in my training class looks like my ex-husband which is kind of scarry... I'm not the oldest person in the class but I'm the second oldest! It's kind of funny though Angie (the oldest one) and I get along great! She doesn't live very far from me and I think we will become great friends. One of the younger girls - there are only for girls-is quite young and getting married in March... She seems really sweet and seems to like me and so she talks to me quite a bit.. Mostly because I listen to her.

Now my job is not difficult. It is providing qualily customer care to Earthlink customers.
I am familiar with Earthlink and I love customer service. I'm a people person so it will be easy for me to do this job.
well I've got to start getting ready for work... I need to leave here in a couple of hours and I still have to shower.
God Bless!

Winter White....

It has been several years since we have had this much ICE! The sleet keeps falling, not snow, sleet!

I was hoping we could at least have a bit of snow but at this point nada. The good thing about it though is that here in Bartlesville it has been nothing but sleet. You see at first I couldn't figure out what the difference in sleet and freezing rain was.. then it hit me. Sleet if frozen when it falls therefore it doesn't stick to the power lines and trees as easily as rain that falls then freezes. My mom doesn't have power at her house and has had to travel into town -she lives in the country-to stay in a motel. They are stranded in town now becasue they got hit with another round of the icy stuff.
My brother and his wife went to Tulsa Friday to spend the day with the baby in NICU and got iced in and had to get a room there. They are still there and stuck until at least Monday.

Ernie and I were able to get out yesterday for the day.. We went to Wal-Mart and then to my Grandparents and spent the day helping them remodel the bathroom. Today all the churches canceled services and we have just been hanging out here at home! I'm loving it. In fact I think I'm going to go make some coco and snuggle up with my hubby!

Well God Bless! Keep warm and remember to tell those you love that you love them!

Here comes the ice again....

We are getting ready for yet another "winter storm" here in Northeast Oklahoma. This time I don't think we will be getting much snow. We are looking at an ICE storm! Which means NO driving and staying at home all weekend. Which means I have to take my sick self to Wal-Mart and shop tonight if I don't want to be stuck there all day tomorrow. I have a doctors appointment in the morning and I have to get some important things taken care of before the storm hits. I also want to make sure we have some snacks and pleanty of coffee and coco to get us thru the weekend. I figure if we are going to be stranded at home just the two of us we should make the most of it and spend some quality time -not in front of the tv-together.

I am going to find soemthing he really likes to eat and bake it and make myslef feel better if it kills me. I have a terrible head cold and have not felt like being nice much less cooking. So I guess I better suck it up!

Well I'll always be able to blog when I get bored! I love the internet! When he is watching wrestling like i know he will i can come in my office and dink around here!

Okay well I hope if you are here in the soon to be "ice land" of the great state of Oklahoma keep warm! If you are anywhere there is winter weather God Bless you!

I Think I've Started the Nesting Phase...

When we first started this adoption process I was doing loads of research about the physical and physological changes adoptive parents -especially women-go through. I've tried to track my progresson through out the process and I do believe with the case worker calling on Monday that I have enter the nesting phase.
When a pregnant woman enters the 3rd trimester of her pregnancy she begins preparing for the baby to come home. She may do this by getting a nursery decorated, cleaning the house top to bottom and baby proofing her home. Well I've started all of that tonight!

I found my self lying in bed at 3am unable to sleep. I decided then and there that I was going to have to stop procrastinating and get this house in order! I guess I was in a state of denial or disbelief because it was taking so long and I had not done much to prepare for the home study.

So when she called it took the rest of the evening to settle in... I've not felt good today because I've got a cold and I wanted to sleep. So when Ernie went to bed at 4pm I did too.. I slept until about 7pm when I was rudely awakened by a telemarketer.
I got up and ran a couple of errands and came home to rest and read a good book.
I went to bed at 11:45 with my book and finished the book at 2:00am.
Since I was still awake at 3 i got up...
I got online at FLYlady and printed her steps for crisis cleaning. Then I put on my shoes washed and moisturized my face and went to work... It is now 5:30 am and My kitchen & bathroom are spotless and my livingroom liveable... now all that is left is the office and master bedroom along with the laundry which will have to be taken care of a little at a time.

If it were not for fly lady I would be in trouble! If you have not heard of her or need help getting organized 15 minutes at a time follow the links I have to her and check her out!

So I am going to work on the other areas later today and work on the laundry as well...

God Bless have a good day!

Large Families

I was reading an article about how the "large" family is "back." The truth is it never really went away. America just started recognizing it again and mostly as 'weird' women who have too many children.

I for one am a proponent of Large families! I have always wanted to have 5 or 6 children! gasp! I know, a shocker huh? I have stated before that even though I was not meant to give birth I still feel the strong desire to be a mother and I honestly want to have several children.

My sister has 4 and she is happy as a clam... I don't expect children to make me happy I just love kid and would love to have a load of my own. :)

We are going to take our time and allow our children adjust to the idea of adopting more children before we just go out and do it though. I mean after all if we get 2 or 3 this time I obviously won't want to adopt 3 more. I'd like to have 2 girls and 2 boys. That would be ideal for me.

So I read alot and have some great sites you should check out... Look in the links section and do some reading:)

Well I'm off to bed.... I have Church in the morning...
God Bless

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I trust your New Years is starting off with a bang! Mine is! :) I will be starting my new job soon and I think I will love it! I am getting my house rearrainged after the teenager moved out. I am creating a new office for myself and a new guest bedroom for our guests. It is starting to look good already! I can't wait to get it finished. I've decided to hang some nice picutres in that room and possibly put up a shelf or something. I will be putting Ernie's clothes in the Chest and closet as we have conflicting schedules and he needs a place to get dressed that won't wake me up.

I love the idea of having a real guest bedroom and I know that at some point it will be a kids room again I still for a while will have guest quarters. Now if we move into the house we are wanting I will have 2 kids room's a dressing room and a guest room. I love that Idea!

Anyway, I've got a ton of things left to do today so I better get busy. Ernie will be home soon.

Take care and God Bless!
