Last Saturday was the next to the last class we had to complete. We have really learned alot by attending these classes. I would encourage anyone considering Adoption or Foster care to fill out the application with DHS, take the classes THEN make an informed decission. I mean you are only going to be allowing yourslef to learn what being a foster/adoptive parent is all about. It will also help you to understand what kids who are in the system go through, and how we as parents and adults can help make life better for them .
This coming Friday the 3rd our church is having a hay ride and hot dog roast and we are really looking forward to getting together. We love doing all our church activities! I can't wait to have our children placed with us as we will have a lot of fun attending our outings.
This Saturday is our last PRIDE class and we are so excited. My CW called yesterday and told me that she turned in our Homestudy referal and so now I just have to get some paperwork submitted and we will be on our way to being done. I am so excited.
We have decided to get two sets of bunk beds and are going to be able to take up to three(3) children in one placement. I know it will be a challenge but I feel like this is something God will make sure we can handle!
I was so glad to see my friends the Howards are doing so well with their new Forever Family and I can't wait to see the adoption finialized! God Bless you Kristy and Tony!
