Lately I've been reading alot on how others view adoption. I know that because I'm a Christian woman who has delt with the loss of fertility I have a much different view than other people.
You see I've been told that I should just give up on being a mother because I wasn't meant to give birth.
Well I see it this way... I was born to be an adoptive mother. I have always taken care of other peoples children and I have always had the ability to love children regardless of thier skin color, sex, national origin, or age. God gives people gifts, I belive one of mine is loving children I didn't give birth to.
I struggled for a long time with the not being pregnant issue. I gave it to God and I greived and I accepted that I'll not be getting pregnant. In fact at this moment I will be glad to never give birth. I know too many people who hated being pregnant and I don't want to be one of those kinds of people who makes everyone around them nervous because I'm moody and emotional due to pregnancy.
Anyway.... I just don't think it is fair or right for people to say that I shouldn't adopt just because I cannot or choose not to give birth. I am adopting children who either have no parents or who's parents cannot or will not care for them.
Okay I'll get off my soap box now and say one last thing...
If you are planning to adopt, if you are pregnant and don't feel like you can parent your baby... Pray, seek a professional to tell you what your options are and get educated! Don't listen to all the crap around you and make an informed decission. No one should choose adoption just to please someone else!

I really liked the pics of the kids. we are going to have to try to get a pic of abbie's face! at the bottom of you said don't listen to all the crap around you and make an informed decission. that should read make an uninformed decission or don't listen to all the crap around you, make and informed decission any way just a thought.
