Today I visited my new baby nephew in the NICU, Johnathan Daniel is so very tiny!
When I walked into his room I cried. I guess I really didn't know what to expect but he was smaller than a loaf of bread. :)
I just looked at him for the longest time. Of course it was hard to take my eyes off of him. I discovered that he really looks alot like his daddy- my little brother- and even has his ears!
We talked about what I remembered from the day Styrlin came home from the hospital. I was like 9 and to me he was a heavy baby!
Styrlin was the biggest of all four of us! I told him I sure hope the little guy inheirrited his metabolism and lankiness! That boy can eat!(my brother that is)
Little Johnathan was held by his mommy and daddy for the first time today and it blessed my soul to get to be there for that! Styrlin took a picture of my hand on John's head and his tiny little head just barely took up the palm of my hand. I have never been near a baby so small.
Before we left we prayed over Johnathan and I am asking all of you my faithful readers and friends, please keep praying for them.
I am going to try to go visit Little John as much as I can and I will pray over each visit and for him each day. He is breathing well and boy can he cry! Of course in the NICU that is something they encourage :)
Looks like it will be a Merry Christmas after all. Johnathan doesnt' have any major medical problems and as soon as he is eating, breathing, and maintaing his own body temp. I'm sure they will let him come home. We are praying for before his due date which is Feb 7th.
Keep us in your prayers!
May God Bless you this Christmas and every day!
Happy New Year too!

This is very hard on mom (Cynthia). I will pray for all 3 of them. It is hard to go home without your child. Keep encouraging Styrlin and especially Cynthia. Would you give her a message for me? Remind her that I am the one that slept above her the first night of the reunion and tell her that I had to leave my first child at the hospital and I know what she is going through and that God will take good care of him while she's not able to be with him. Thanks! Congratulations Auntie!
Sandy,
Thanks! I will pass that message along to her. I know you understand exactly what they are going through. Love you !
