I have no idea why it is so difficult for me to keep up with this thing! I am online every day and yet I have trouble keeping up with my blog.
Well since I last wrote a lot has been going on. We got all moved into the house and are still waiting on the previous owners to come get some of thier things out of the garage. My garage looks like a refugee camp! Things are everywhere! Well it would help if I could get hubby to stop putting things off and move things into the attic.
Elise spent the last week of June at Falls Creek , which is our major Baptist Church camp here in Oklahoma. She went as one of about 55 teenagers, and had a wonderful time. Well most of the week she fought with my 17 year old sister. They are like oil and water and man can they fight. I was asking my Grandmother what to do about them and she said just make them work it out on thier own. She was like "don't you remember how you and Misty(my best friend as a teen) used to fight all the time?' "I just let you work it out."
I hadn't really thought of it that way so I took her advise, and they did.
So while she was gone that week hubby and I went camping. Well we went to this quiet little place my mom told us about and the first day I got so sunburned i was miserable! Son on Tuesday we went to spend the rest of our vacation at my Grandparents. We really enjoyed it. When we first got married we only live one mile from them and i was there every day! she has missed us being so close and we do try to see them as often as possible.
On July 9th Elise left for Colorado on a mission trip with the church and she had a blast. She didn't call me very often and that is how I know she was having fun. Then on Wednesday she called , and was trying not to cry. She told me "Mommy, I miss you and I'm ready to come home." I knew that was coming sooner or later but it was kind of heart warming in a sence. She's 17 and hates being away from me and Ernie for very long. Well on the 16th when she was scheduled to be home we left at 4am to go down to southern Oklahoma to my Family reunion. I love going... we have been having them for over 80 years and I want my kids and grandkids to keep the tradition.
My cousins that are my age and I have been trying to keep it going so that our families will have it in the future!
So...... needless to say when we got home on Sunday , Elise was estatic!
So was the dog!
Well that was a quick bring you up to date...... I promise I will keep this thing current from now on!
