I was out running errands today( which by-the-way, gas is $3.19 per gallon) when suddenly S. starts yelling "Ernie, Ernie, Stop and see Ernie"
I was like "S what are you talking about?" " Look, it's Ernie gotta Stop and see Ernie!" So i looked to the left and that's when I saw the Borden Truck!
I hadn't even thought she might associate the Borden TRUCK with the fact that Ernie drives one. We have picked him up several times and even went to another town to meet him for lunch but it never even occured to me that S and M would think about that Truck .
Then we went to McDonalds and I put M in the high chair and S wanted to push her. So I told her to take sister to our usual table. Lo and Behold S took little sister M to the EXACT table we sat at the last time we were in that store! And it has been over 2 weeks since we've been anywhere near a McDonalds much less that store.
Isn't it amazing how well they remember things? She just amazes me!
I mean I know that when a child is little it is the best time to teach them things that require memory but I guess I have never had such a great display in one day!
So we are off again in a few minutes to take Elise to her first Therapy appointment. I am hoping things go well and the girls behave themselves.
I have told S what I expect from her in the past as far as behavior goes and she always complies so I'm praying this time will be a repeat.
